Bosler & Company, P.C., was founded in 1986 with the intended purpose of providing top level
accounting, business appraisal, tax and management advisory services to all segments of society for an affordable price. Previous experiences of the
firm's founder, Charles Bosler, had been that some CPA firms provide top level service but at fees only affordable to those already financially
successful. Many other CPA firms provide less than top level service and quality but usually for more affordable prices. It seems infrequent,
however, that both attributes, affordable fees and top level service can be found at the same firm.
What do we have to support our claims on quality?
Bosler & Company, P.C., has been a part of the AICPA peer review process since mandating it for all member
firms in 1986. The peer review process calls for independent, outside peer reviews once every three years while adhering to an internally
designed system of quality control in the interim. That system, along with sample engagements, is what is periodically tested by outside peer
reviewers. Most CPA firms whose owners are members of the AICPA have similar peer reviews. What may differ, however, is that after eight peer
reviews, Bosler & Company, P.C., has never been apprised of even one deficiency thought significant enough by peer reviewers to warrant mention
in what is known as a "Letter of Comments". Less that 15% of all CPA firms in the United States can make a similar statement over the same time span.
The firm of Bosler & Company, P.C., has also performed over 100 peer reviews of other CPA firms. As a result, the firm is aware of the varying
levels of quality in the marketplace.
In addition to a thorough accounting education, the firm's founder obtained a BA in Economics from Michigan State
University in 1971 and an MBA Degree from the University of Michigan in 1975. After several years experience in successive accounting positions, he
became the audit and accounting principal at a 40 person CPA firm, serving in that capacity from 1980 through 1986, before establishing Bosler &
Company. Charles comes from a family of tax professionals with his father having engaged in similar employment starting in 1946. Charles has
performed over 200 business valuation engagements over the past 20 years and was in the first class of business appraisers accredited by the AICPA in
1998, holding ABV Certificate No. 0053. Among professional affiliations, Charles has been a member of the Professional Ethics Task Force of the
Michigan Association of CPAs from July 1989 through the present, and chairman of that committee from July, 1999 through June, 2001. That task force
makes a strong commitment towards weeding out deficient behavior amongst the MACPA's 16,000 members, who stray from professional rules and standards.
Through its current staff and extensive network of proven professionals, Bosler & Company, P.C., is committed
towards providing its clients with top quality service for an affordable price, timely delivered. Although we do not claim to be perfect, we
continually strive for overall excellence.
